In 2014, the FBI opened more than 500 child sex trafficking investigations.

A problem one local teen is raising awareness for.

Tierra Beard is organizing the Human Trafficking Awareness Game for Thursday night.

This is a huge game, Lincoln Northeast (Class A #2) vs. Pius (Class B #1).

At the game the gym will be decorated with information to educate fans about the horrors of human trafficking.

The teams and some spectators will also be wearing customized shirts that read, “Not for Sale.”

Beard says, “Instead of doing a pink out game I wanted to raise awareness for something more unknown to people, so I could educate them, It’s all going through, my teams supporting me, so are the star stutters and so is Pius, so they’re all going to be apart of it.”

This game starts at 7:30 at Lincoln Northeast.
