It's been a great day for Lincoln's adorable pets and their loving owners!

Hundreds came out for the annual Tails 'N Trails event at Haymarket park.

The fun games, arts and crafts, and a pet walk were all to benefit the Capital Human Society!

Donations and sales will go to aid the adoption center…”somebody goes out and get just 25 dollars in pledges, that'll vaccinate 5 or 6 pets at the shelter depending upon species. And if they go out and raise 50 dollars in revenue, it'll not only vaccinate those 5 to 6 pets, it'll microchip another 3 pets,” Bob Downey says.

Officials say they hope to raise 50–thousand dollars today or all our local, homeless pets.
