In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a large group marched through downtown Lincoln Monday morning.

The rally started at the Student Union and ended at the State Capitol. This is the 20th year that members of the community have marched.

Some said while big strides have been made, Dr. King’s message still needs to be spread.

“Dr. Martin Luther King wanted equality, he wanted justice, he wanted unification,” marcher Charlotte Duncan-Wagner said. “And so we need to work at that again.”

There was a program at the Capitol with multiple presentations following the march.
