Husker Basketball Fights, Falls to Maryland

College Park, MD – Nebraska kept it close, but fell to No. 16 Maryland 69-65 on the road Thursday. The Huskers still look for their first road conference win and the Terrapins stay undefeated at home.
Here are some notes courtesy of Nebraska Athletics:
*-Walter Pitchford tied his career high with 19 points (also vs. Tenn.-Martin)
*-Nick Fuller had career bests in both points (12) and rebounds (5)
*-Nebraska got a season-high 33 points from its bemch
*-Terran Petteway dished out a career-high nine assists (previous best was eight), but was held to eight points which was the second time this season he was held out of double figures.
*-Maryland’s Melo Trimble’s 26 points was the second-highest scoring night against Nebraska this season
