Husker Lineman Arrested For Suspicion Of Sexual Assault
Lincoln police say Nebraska offensive lineman Andy Christensen is expected to be arraigned today after being arrested early Saturday on suspicion of sexually assaulting awoman at a bar.
Lincoln police Capt. Joseph Wright says prosecutors will make the final determination on what Christensen is charged with. Police arrested the lineman after a 23-year-old Lincoln woman reported that he approached her from behind, reached underneath her clothingand sexually assaulted her about 12:30 a.m. Saturday.
Wright says Christensen was arrested outside the bar for first degree sexual assault, resisting arrest and failure to comply.
Nebraska coach Bo Pelini says the junior has been suspended indefinitely from the team. Pelini says he will reconsider Christensen's status when more information is available.
