Junior Aubrei Corder earned Big Ten Goalkeeper-of-the-Week honors on Tuesday after helping Nebraska to a 1-0-1 record during its opening weekend of Big Ten play.

Corder played all 110 minutes in a 1-1 tie at Rutgers on Friday and earned six saves, tying her season high. On Sunday, she played all 92 minutes and earned one save to help NU top Maryland in overtime, 2-1.

With her efforts over the weekend, Corder surpassed the 150-career save milestone and entered Nebraska’s top five career saves list. She ranks fifth with 155 saves, one shy of tying Jamie Klages (2005-06) for fourth on the list.

Corder has taken home Big Ten weekly honors on three previous occasions, but 2018 is the first season the Big Ten has awarded a goalkeeper of the week. She earned Freshman-of-the-Week accolades twice in 2016, while earning Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 25, 2016.

The Nebraska soccer team (5-3-2, 1-0-1 Big Ten) earned the No. 21 spot in the first women’s soccer RPI of the season, released this week.

The Huskers have faced four teams in the top 25 so far this season and hold a 2-2 record against those opponents. NU knocked off No. 5 NC State on the road on Sept. 9 by a 2-1 margin to hand the Wolfpack their only loss of the season.

The Huskers shut out No. 17 Oregon, 2-0, at Hibner Stadium on Aug. 24. It marked the lone loss for the Ducks to this point in 2018. Nebraska also faced No. 20 Duke and No. 25 Baylor, which were both road losses earlier this month. Washington State, ranked 29th, is undefeated, which includes its narrow win over the Big Red on Aug. 31.

Nebraska owns wins over No. 68 Oklahoma, No. 176 Oregon State and No. 183 Maryland. The Huskers tied No. 57 BYU and No. 47 Rutgers.

Nebraska hosts a pair of top-50 opponents at Hibner Stadium this week when No. 45 Indiana (Thursday at 7:05 p.m.) and No. 22 Purdue (Sunday at 1:05 p.m.) visit Lincoln.
