It was a Husker fan celebration at Memorial Stadium Wednesday night. The annual fan day kicked off with autographs and plenty of smiles.

Husker fan Vince Foster says he enjoys meeting veteran players, freshman and coaches. This season will be his first as a season ticket holder.

Foster said, "I’m thinking what better way to have new season tickets then with a new coach new offense and like I said these guys are going to do good."

Some Husker faithful were in line before the gates even opened.

A couple of fans were there at 11 a.m., but one of them wasn't eager to meet the players or coaches.

Makai Bragg said he’s excited to meet, "The cheerleaders!"

For some people the chance to meet the new head coach is the most exciting.

Husker fan Ashley Humlicek said, "I think this is awesome I’ve never been here before and there's a ton of fan support I love that they're interviewing some of the players and I can't wait to meet Mike Riley for the first time and get his autograph."

As we walked around, the line of fans to receive Coach Riley’s autograph stretched from one field goal post down to the opposite one.

There's no doubt the Sea of Red is ready for the season to kick–off and experience the new era of Nebraska football.

Husker fan Greg Humlicek said, "You know with Mike Riley coming in it just felt like a lot more support for him and the team and I’m really excited to see what he can do this year."
