Huskers Beat Colorado For Coach

Boulder, CO-On Saturday, the Nebraska Cornhuskers defeated the Colorado Buffaloes 31-22.  And after the game the team talked about how they wanted to win it for head coach Frank Solich who had been rumored all week to be on his way out.  It was a back and forth contest until Nebraska went ahead 24-22 in the 4th quarter on a David Dyches 19 yard field goal.  Later on, senior linebacker T.J. Hollowell picked off Colorado quarterback Joel Klatt deep in CU territory.  That would set up a Judd Davies 1 yards touchdown run which provided the Huskers with their insurmountable 31-22 advantage.  A Holiday Bowl representative came to the Nebraska locker room area after the game and it appears that Nebraska has a good shot at going to San Diego for the December 30th bowl game.
