Huskers Shut Down Cowboys

Lincoln, NE-The Blackshirts are back!  What a debut for new defensive coordinator Bo Pelini and Nebraska's defense.  On Saturday, Nebraska beat 24th ranked Oklahoma State 17-7.  The Big Red defense led the way by turning 5 Cowboys turnovers into 14 Husker points.  The key play came in the 3rd quarter when Barrett Ruud recovered a Tatum Bell fumble and returned it 15 yards for a touchdown to give the Huskers a 10-7 lead.  Judd Davies would score on a short TD run to cap the scoring for Nebraska which has not lost at home to the Cowboys since 1960.  Nebraska's next game will be on Saturday September 6th in Lincoln at 11:30 a.m. against Utah State.
