Huskers Sweep Panthers

Alex Gordon went two-for-three with four R-B-Is as Nebraska shut out Wisconsin-Milwaukee for the second time nine-to-nothing Wednesday. Gordon drove in four runs to pace the Cornhuskers, who capped the game with eleven hits.

Daniel Bruce went two-for-three with a homer and two RBI.

The Panthers came away from the contest with three hits. Quinton Robertson earned his first win since February 22nd, tossing five innings with three hits and four strikeouts. Four Husker relievers finished the shutout, combining for four innings of no-hit ball.

Nebraska shut out the Panthers ten-to-nothing Tuesday and as recorded back-to-back shutouts for the first time since March 16th and 17th, 2002.

Ben Stanczyk took the loss for the Panthers, allowing eight runs over six innings.

The Huskers now travel to Manhattan, Kansas, for a three-game series with Kansas State beginning Friday at 7 p-m.
