UPDATE: Indy racer airlifted to Lincoln after crash has died

UPDATE: Bryan Clauson, a Noblesville native, was airlifted to a hospital in Lincoln after being involved in a serious crash during a race Saturday night in Belleville, Kansas, has died.
USAC Racing confirmed the news of his death on Twitter Monday morning.

Bryan Clauson, a Noblesville native, was airlifted to a hospital in Lincoln after being involved in a serious crash during a race Saturday night in Belleville, KS.
Clauson, 27, was driving in the 39th annual Belleville Nationals when his car hit the guard rail and flipped several times. His car then spun back into the flow of traffic and he was violently struck by another driver.
It took about 30 minutes to get Clauson out of the car, and friends and family say he was breathing on his own during transport.
USAC Racing says he was transported to Bryan Medical Center in Lincoln. There’s no word on his condition at this time.
Clauson lives in Noblesville. He has 3 starts in the Indy 500 and is well known on the Midget car scene. He won USAC titles in 2010, 2011, and 2015.
