FREMONT, Neb. (AP) _ A 68-year-old Iowa man has pleaded not guilty to vehicular homicide and other charges stemming from a November collision in Nebraska’s Dodge County.

Harry Beckner, of Sioux City, Iowa, made his pleas on Monday. His trial date has not been set.           Dodge County Attorney Oliver Glass said in court that Beckner got in an argument with his wife on Nov. 14 and decided to start driving as he drank a bottle of whiskey. Glass says Beckner was drunk by the time he got to Fremont.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says Beckner’s minivan struck a southbound pickup from behind on U.S. Highway 77. A passenger in the truck, 65-year-old Linda Knoell, was ejected. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
