Keadle sentenced for misdemeanor
A man considered a person of interest in the disappearance of a Peru State College freshman and charged with the sexual assaults of another young woman has been given 90 days in jail for an unrelated misdemeanor.
Officials say 29-year-old Joshua Keadle was convicted of criminal mischief. He had damaged a campus door last October. He was sentenced on Tuesday.
Keadle, who is from Swansea, S.C., has pleaded not guilty to sexual assault and other charges in the alleged attack of a young woman on Halloween.
The charges were filed after the disappearance of Tyler “Ty'' Thomas, who was last seen leaving a party on Dec. 3.
Keadle is the only listed person of interest in the case, but homicide charges aren't expected soon.
