People are celebrating and donating money to a worthy cause thanks to the Kentucky Derby.
A Lincoln non–profit is raising money for diabetes research.
Volunteers with juvenile diabetes research foundation set up shop in the Railyard.
They’re selling tickets to play fun activities and games.
The Kentucky Derby might be over but this event doesn’t end until 7.
Executive Director Jayne Ullstrom said, "It includes drinks from some of our wonderful railyard partners, a fun hat and bowtie contest. It is just a great way to celebrate the derby and raise money for a good cause."
All the money raised will be used for research and hopefully find a cure for type 1 diabetes.
