Kwik Shop armed robbery

Police are investigating the 9th armed robbery in the last week. It happened just after 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of 56th and South St.

Authorities say the suspect was armed with a semi-automatic handgun. They say he demanded cash from the clerk and then fled the store on foot.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 6 ft, he was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark gloves, and a black face mask.

Officers say there was only one person inside at the time, and luckily no one was injured.

Police set up a perimeter and attempted to track the suspect using a K-9 track, but were unsuccessful. At this point police are not sure if the robberies are connected.
