LES Rate Goes Up

The Lincoln City Council voted unanimously Monday in favor of a proposed rate hike for your LES bill. The changes will raise the rates by an average of nine-percent. For the average household, that means about four dollars more a month.

LES officals say the increase is needed because of the rising costs on just about every type of fuel used by the utility company. This is the third time in three years an increase has been approved. You can expect to see the new rates in place by August first.
