Lincoln Could See Biggest Snow Storm Of The Season

All of Southern and Northeastern Nebraska is under a Winter Storm Watch.    The watch starts at 3:00 a.m. for Grand Island and central Nebraska and the watch starts at 6:00 a.m. for Lincoln and eastern parts of the state.

Channel 8 Eyewitness News Meteorologist Denice Pelster believes five to eight inches of snow could fall in Grand Island and Lincoln.    Pelster said we could see 30 mile-per-hour winds along with the storm snow blowing snow will make traveling hazardous as well.    

In Lincoln, light snow flurries are expected around 7:00 a.m. and heavier snow is expected around 10 a.m. Friday morning.   The snow should pass through the Channel 8 Eyewitness News viewing area around 10:00 p.m. Friday.
