Lincoln Earth Day Celebration this weekend

Lincoln Earth Day is Saturday, April 28th, 10 am – 3 pm at Union Plaza and we have packed the day with activities!

Come early to participate in these pre-event activities at 9 am:

Pre-event Activities:

9:00 am –  Happy Earth Day bike ride

9:00 am –  Lotus House of Yoga – an all levels – yoga session

Main Stage:

10:15 am – Mayor Chris Beutler // Opening remarks and event kickoff

10:30 am – Nia Performance

11:15 am – Nebraska Ballet Theater dance troupe // Dance performance and environmental presentations

12:00 pm – Zambian Dance Performance // African Music

12:45 pm – Root Marm Chicken Farm Jug Band // Jug, Hokum Blues, Roots Music

Demonstration Tent:

11:15 am – Assemble a rain barrel with City of Lincoln Watershed Management

12:00 pm – Learn about bike safety and tune up from BikeLNK

12:45 pm – Build you own compost area with volunteers from Vine Church

Jayne Snyder Trails Center:

10:00 am – Nebraska Wildlife Federation Annual Poster Contest

11:00 am – Student Project Showcase

1:30 & 2:15 pm – Foldscope Demonstration and Give Away
