Lincoln High Hires New Head Football Coach

Lincoln High School has announced Mark Macke as the school's new varsity
football coach starting for the 2011 fall season, according to Lincoln
High Athletic Director Pat Gatzemeyer.

Macke has spent the past 18 seasons as an assistant football coach at
Creighton Preparatory High School. He also teaches physical and health
education classes, and is an assistant baseball coach at Creighton Prep.
Macke was recently selected as an assistant coach for the North Team in
the 2011 Shrine Bowl.

“Coach Macke is a goal-orientated person with great integrity who will
build positive relationships with Lincoln High student-athletes,”
Gatzemeyer said. “He is an excellent classroom teacher and his coaching
skills are a reflection of his ability to build trust with athletes,”

Macke replaces Mike Fultz, who announced his retirement from coaching
football following last season.
