Lincoln police arrested a man after they say he changed a lottery ticket to get a big payout.
The Nebraska Department of Revenue called police after a woman came into their office with the ticket she claimed was worth $35,000. Workers realized it had been altered.
Police say the woman said she got it from 37–year–old Jonathan Tonniges. Tonniges turned himself in to police and was arrested for altering a lottery ticket, which is a Class 3 felony.
