Lincoln man arrested after injuring ex-girlfriend
A Lincoln teen is in the hospital after police say her boyfriend purposely injured her.
Police say 18 year old Brian Cornelsen met up with his 17 year old ex-girlfriend to talk about their break-up late Sunday night. The teen got in his car and police say Cornelsen drove up to 60 mph into on-coming traffic narrowly missing other vehicles. They say he eventually lost control vehicle and hit a tree head on.
“The victim suffered multiple injuries to her face and head emergency room staff also advised she had a broken neck and two vertebra broken in her back,” Officer Katie Flood said. No word on Cornelsen's injuries, he was arrested for 1st degree domestic assault and false imprisonment.
