Lincoln Man Sentenced to Prison for Murder

A Lincoln man has been sentenced in the Capital City for second degree murder. 23-year old Jeremy Cade was shot and killed in March. Jamie Mowell faces 40-years to life in prison and 10 to 20 years for use of a weapon to commit a felony. Last March, Mowell shot and killed Jeremy Cade inside an apartment at 14th and D streets. Witnesses told police that after the shooting, Mowell and a woman, Crystal Walsh fled the scene.

The two were later arrested in Sioux City, Iowa. Court documents state Cade, Mowell and Walsh were getting ready to do drugs before the shooting took place.
