Lincoln man tasered, arrested after burglary

Lincoln, NE – A Lincoln man is in police custody after he burglarized a gas station early Monday morning. 

Lincoln Police Captain Chris Peterson says a witness reported a man trying to open the overhead garage of the 66 Parkway gas station on 48th and Normal streets. 

A Lincoln police officer and another man chased the suspect, 19 year old Montres Hines of Lincoln to a city park.

There, the officer wrestled Hines to the ground.  Hines was tasered and eventually subdued. 

It appears Hines took several packs of cigarettes from the store. 

Hines was arrested for burglary.
