Nebraska mother denied parental rights of daughter

The woman accused of taking her 2-year-old daughter from foster care and fleeing to New Mexico has lost all parental rights.

A Lancaster County Juvenile Court judge terminated the rights of 25-year-old Melissa Portillo and ordered the girl to be placed in state custody until she's adopted.  The girl has been in foster care since December 2009.

Authorities say Portilla took the girl during a supervised visit in August. The pair was found a day later in Las Cruces, N.M.  Portilla is being held in the Lancaster County jail on a violation a child custody order.  The girl's foster parents have said they want to adopt her.
