Lincoln Police Investigate Attempted Abduction

Some scary moments for a Lincoln teenager walking home from school yesterday afternoon.

Police say someone grabbed the girl, a lincoln high student and then tried forcing her into their car.

She was just a few hundred feet from school when the 16-year-old girl was nearly abducted.

It took place just moments after school when school let out and police say the attempted abduction happened here at the corner of 20th and j.

They say the girl was walking home alone when the car pulled up along side her.  Police say the man asked her to get in the vehicle, when she refused he grabbed her wrist and she felt he was trying to pull her into the vehicle.

Fortunately police say the girl was able to get away, and get home. Police describe the man as a black male between 5'8 and 5'9 about 160 pounds.  Either bald or clean shavin.

The car he was driving was a black cadillac with tinted windows.

If you've seen anything you're urged to call police.
