Lincoln police looking for car thieves

Police say the first vehicle stolen was near 70th and South Streets around 4 a.m. Monday.

Lincoln Police Officer Katie Flood says the victim had started his pickup, but went back inside his home to get his wallet.  Flood says when he came back out, he saw two men get into his pickup and drive off.  Police say minutes later, the two suspects drove the truck into a light pole near 51st and Old Cheney.

Police say at around 4:30 a.m.  the same suspects took a 2003 Gray Toyota Corolla just south of 50th and Old Cheney.  It was later found abandoned with a flat tire in a neighborhood near 33rd and Old Cheney. 

Police describe the two as white men in their early to mid 20's.  One is approximately 5' 9″ tall and 150 pounds. Both were seen wearing gray hooded sweatshirts, jeans and one was carrying a backpack.
