Woman accused of using young son’s SSN
Lincoln police say a woman used her 6-year-old son's social security number to get a job.
Police officer Katie Flood says 37-year-old Jeannette Johnson, of Ashland, was arrested Wednesday for identity theft and criminal impersonation. Flood says she used her son's social security number to obtain employment with the Child Guidance Center in Lincoln. Police say she earned about $15,000 in seven months from the Center.
Officer Flood says a criminal history check would have revealed a prior felony conviction for theft by deception. Flood said she denied having a conviction on her job application.
