Lincoln Police searching for suspect in shooting

Police are still looking for the suspect in a north Lincoln shooting that happened Thursday morning.

Lincoln Police Capt. Jim Davidsaver says the victim was walking to Russ's Market at 63rd and Havelock when the passenger of a vehicle shot him in the face and neck with what looked like a sawed-off shotgun. Police say it happened around 10:45 a.m.

According to police, the victim reported that the vehicle, a maroon 4-door car, passed by two to three times before the passenger shot. The victim was struck by several small pellets, but only sustained minor injuries.

Police say the suspect is described as a short white male wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt. The driver is described as a tall black male with a light complexion wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt.
