Lincolnite’s Asked to Conserve Water

Lincoln Mayor Don Wesely and the Public Works Department are asking residents to voluntarily cut back on water use. City officials say for the first time since 1974 water usage exceeded the single day usage at 90 million gallons.

Conservation tips include watering lawn and plants during cool parts of the day. Or cutting back to twice a week. Also use a broom to clean instead of a hose. Residents are asked to conserve so restrictions will not be put in place.
