Local Military Mom On Mission To Keep Troops Warm
Many of us don't realize that it does get cold in Iraq. One local military mom is making it her mission to send blankets to troops. Ellen Schneider got a phone call from her son, asking her to send a fleece blanket. Johnathon Hebbard, 20 was deployed to Iraq in September and told his mother that temperatures get as cold as 20 degrees. Schneider started “Project Husker Heat”, and is asking for your help. Schneider is accepting blankets or money to purchase materials, and would like you to attach note of support. She will be collecting blankets and sending them to Iraq until March.
