Lincoln Police say three parents were cited for child neglect after officers found their home to be unsanitary.

Police Officer Katie Flood says officers went to their shared home near 29th & Potter and found insects crawling on the floors, walls, and furniture.  Flood says urine and feces, trash and clutter was also found throughout the residence.  Eight children, ages 2-15, were removed by police from the home.  Police say two families share the house,  45-year-old Michael Kohlman and his wife, 25-year-old Charlotte Kohlman, with their four children, along with 47-year-old Sherry Gilliam, her husband and four children.

Police say Michael Kohlman was arrested for child neglect and obstructing government operations after he tried to hide three of the children from police officers and HHS representatives.  Charlotte Kohlman and Sherry Gilliam were cited and released for Child Neglect.
