It was a terrifying night for a Lincoln woman when a man pulled a gun on her while she was driving. It happened Monday night at around 10 p.m. Police say 18–year–old Lakota Leach and a 15–year–old were arrested.

Lincoln police say the 15–year–old stepped out in front of her car near 29th and O Streets and pointed a gun at her. Police say he demanded her to get out of the car. However, she drove off and called police. Police say she noticed a gray car with its hood up and a man sitting inside as she drove away. She gave the description of the two and the car to police.

Officers found the car empty, but found the two suspects walking in an alleyway. The victim identified the 15-year-old and Leach as the suspects.

“A 15–year–old was taken to the juvenile detention center and lodged on a probation violation. He will be referred to the County Attorney’s Office for attempted robbery, use of a weapon to commit a felony and carrying concealed weapon,” Officer Katie Flood said.

Police say they found the handgun in the juvenile’s pants. Leach was arrested for aiding and abetting.
