UPDATE: The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office says the pygmy goat has been returned to her owner. A neighbor located and returned the goat to Cassidy Cox.

The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office is on the lookout for a stolen pygmy goat.

The owner says the goat is named Pepper and is 4 months old. Pepper is 12 inches tall with a friendly personality, mostly black with white markings and wearing a blue collar. Deputies say they believe she was taken from her home, near 120th and Wittstruck Road in rural Bennet, Tuesday evening. They say the fence was not damaged, so the owner believes someone reached over the fence.

One neighbor told deputies they saw a black 4-door diesel pickup at the home. They heard doors opening and closing, but couldn't see anything because of trees. Deputies say that could be a possible suspect.

If you have information about Pepper, please call the Sheriff's Office at (402) 441–6500.
