Mad Dads is Closing Due to Money Problems
The president of the M.A.D. Dads chapter in Lincoln, announced Tuesday that the organization has come to an end, due to ongoing financial trouble. Reverend Don Coleman has been the Lincoln president of M.A.D. Dads since 1993, and has touched the lives of more than a thousand kids. But now he has a new job. Coleman has taken a position with the Lincoln School of Commerce where he'll continue to work with youth.
M.A.D. Dads is having a bike garage sale on July 27th from 9 to 3 p.m. on north 27th street to help keep the bike program alive, but under a new name called “Better Bikes.” The Reverend says he is glad he can walk away from the youth center on top.
