This Thanksgiving, Woods Brothers Reality wants to “fill the Mayflower”. It’s a campaign to collect non-perishable food items for the People’s City Mission.

The annual collection kicked off Friday, and already bags of Thanksgiving food and other items started to fill the truck.

It’s located in two different Super Saver parking lots, one on 27th and Cornhusker and the other at 56th and Highway 2.

It’s Woods Brothers Reality’s way to give thanks and give back to Lincoln this holiday season, and they hope you will join them.

"It’s just a way for us to give back to the community. Sometimes we take things for granted, like food. If it is something we can spend a little bit of time to volunteer and make this available for so many different families, why not," Arla Meyer, Managing Broker said.

Woods Brothers Reality says they hope to double last year’s donations of 5,000 pounds of food for the Mission this year.

You can continue to make donations at both locations Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
