Man accused of stealing truck and crashing it
Police say a Lincoln man broke into the waste water plant and took a mack tanker truck.
Police say employees at the Lincoln Water System south of N.27th & Cornhusker arrived at the plant and discovered a Mack tanker truck missing. They later found it smashed into a nearby fence on the plant's property.
35-year-old Patrick Fisher was found behind the wheel.
“Employees confronted him to find that he was intoxicated, erratic and combative,” said Officer Katie Flood. Flood said Fisher is a known transient. He was not hurt. The windshield and side mirrors were damaged on the truck, along with the fence.
Fisher was arrested for DUI, auto theft and refusing to take a chemical test.
