Lincoln police say the suspect was trying to buy fast food with fake money.
Police say 44–year old Matthew Rohren had used a counterfeit $100 bill at a McDonald's earlier this month. One of the employees gave police Rohren's description. Early Tuesday morning, an officer spotted his car in a drive–thru at another McConald's location. Police say he had just used another counterfeit $100 bill there to buy food.
A search of his car revealed he had three more fake bills under the floor mat. Rohren is charged with five counts of forgery and criminal possession of a forged instrument.
