Man Arrested In Nebraska On Tennessee Warrant

A 31-year-old man suspected in a Tennessee slaying has been arrested in Lincoln.

A statement released Wednesday by the Lancaster County Metro Area Fugitive Task Force says Lebron Withers was briefly questioned by a Lincoln police officer Sunday night after someone reported a suspicious car.

Police say Withers gave the officer a fake name but submitted to a photo and fingerprint before being released. An analysis of the fingerprint showed the man to be Withers, who was wanted in Memphis.

A message left Wednesday with Memphis police seeking details was not immediately returned.

Police found Withers late Tuesday night at a Lincoln apartment.

Officers say he jumped out of a second-floor window in an attempt to flee but was caught and arrested.
