Marijuana Bust

It all started with a tip in March and after weeks of hard work the narcotics task force served a warrant in a Lincoln home last night. Jeffery Troester and his wife Kimberly were arrested after police say they found a marijuana growing operation in a secret compartment in their basement.

The two live in a duplex near 38th and Sheridan. Inside police recovered 10 plants and over 140 grams of processed marijuana along with $3,000 in cash.

Officer Katie Flood says the two being caught all started with a tip.

“In this case like many of the other marijuana grow operations we've uncovered…it just takes a tip we actually received two crime stoppers tips during the month of march with the same information that this couple may be growing marijuana in their home,” Flood said.

The Troesters also have a 7 month old son who was removed from the home and placed in temporary protective custody with Health and Human Services.

Jeffery Troester was arrested for manufacturing a controlled substance with the intent to deliver and his wife Kimberly was arrested for aiding and abetting.
