Matt Talbot Kitchen Breaks Ground On New Location

By spring of next year Matt Talbot Kitchen will have a new facility to provide services to Lincoln's working poor and homeless.

Matt Talbot officials broke ground to begin construction on 27th street, South of Cornhusker highway.

The  $1.4-million dollar project will renovate the historic Carnegie building.

The new facility will include an expanded kitchen, a larger dining area and classrooms.

Money for the new location is provided by the Witness to Hope Campaign.

So far, more than $445,000 dollars has been raised.
