Measuring Your Personal Energy Output

In our month-long university report, we take a look at a new website that UNL developed to measure your personal energy output.

The website was designed to make students and faculty aware of how much energy they are wasting on campus, but the website is also applicable to other homes and offices.

By filling out what devices you use and for how long, the calculator on the website will tell you how much energy is being used and provides suggestions for minimizing it.

“It doesn't take very much from very many people to say wow I can really reduce energy consumption, change the footprint, change the direction the world is going,” said Kim Tod, UNL Associate Professor.
