Meth Bust in Northwest Lincoln

A cleaning crew made a startling find Thursday afternoon in northwest Lincoln. The find was the remnants of a meth lab. Police tell Channel 8 Eyewitness News that a cleaning crew had gone to a home near West Q and Northwest 18th, around noon. They were hired to clean-up after residents who had just moved out of the home.

However, police say when they went in, they found chemicals that are used in making meth. Police say there were two adults and three children who had lived at the home. Those kids are now in protective custody. The neighbors say the family was friendly, and often a lot of kids played at the house. And the father even drove an ice cream truck. Lincoln Police say their investigation continues.
