Meth Lab Clean Up Finished
Authorities have discovered the largest meth lab ever found in Lancaster county. After two days, the process of cleaning up the chemicals and trying to make the area safe has been wrapped up. Police believe the meth lab ingredients belong to Clarence Grendahl, who had been living in a house just North of Lincoln. He was arrested Wednesday for possesion of methamphetamine after a traffic stop. Today, Hazardous Materials Personnel destroyed harmful chemicals by shooting the bottles in which they were contained. This is the only safe way to get rid of the chemicals. Officials say if the chemicals escaped the containers, they would penetrate the ground and surrounding plants. Haz-Mat teams confiscated everything from anhydrous amonia to live pipe bombs.
