Lincoln Police have arrested a Minnesota man following a disturbance.

It happened Monday around 1:30 p.m. at a storage unit near S.W. 27th and W. O Streets.

Police said 33–year–old Jesse Blackstock confronted a man and demanded a ride. They said he displayed a handgun.

A witness called 9–1–1. Blackstock was arrested nearby at Super 8 Motel.

“Located in his waistband was a loaded handgun that was determined to be stolen from Minnesota,” Ofc. Katie Flood said. “Jesse is actually from Minnesota and happened to come to Lincoln to help a friend whose car broke down.”

Police also found a glass pipe with methamphetamine residue among Backstock’s belongings.

He was arrested for terroristic threats, use of a weapon to commit a felony, felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of a controlled substance.
