The Saline County Sheriff says an 11-year-old girl called 911 to report her father was drunk and shooting a gun in their home Wednesday night.

Deputies were sent to a domestic call at a home in Tobias at around 8 p.m. Wednesday.  The sheriff's office says they received a phone call from an 11-year-old girl reporting that her father, 51-year-old Salvador Garcia, was drunk and shooting a gun in the house, attempting to get to her mother and her.  The sheriff's office says the mother and girl had barricaded themselves upstairs in the home and kept communication with them.

About 2 hours later, Garcia was arrested.  The sheriff's office says the mother and girl were found in their hiding spot and not injured.  No shots were fired by law enforcement.

Garcia was arrested for Terroristic Threats, Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony, Domestic Disturbance with a Fire Arm, Discharge a Firearm in an Occupied Building, Child Abuse, and Disturbing the Peace in Saline County.

The Saline County Sheriff's office was assisted by Fillmore Co. Sheriff, Jefferson Co. Sheriff, Wilber Police, Friend Police, and the Nebraska State Patrol.
