More Enforcement Over Labor Day Weekend
Several county sheriffs offices will join forces this Labor Day weekend, to keep drunk drivers off the roads.
It's part of a national program to keep our roads safe during the holiday. Deputies from five sheriff's offices will be conducting checkpoints this weekend. Sheriff Terry Wagner says the efforts between the counties is an unusual partnership. The sobriety checkpoints are scheduled for September 3rd, 4th and tenth. Authorities say these checkpoints decrease the number of alcohol related accidents by 18 to 24 percent.
