More Nebraska Soldiers Called Up

On Friday came good and bad news for families of Nebraska soldiers. Members of the 1074th are headed home to Nebraska after serving in Wisconsin for ten months. But another group of Reservists, based in Fremont will soon be headed to the Middle East. Sixty members of the 809th Battalion will leave their family and friends here in Nebraska next month. The soldiers are in charge of all government equipment used by the unit, from copy machines to weapons. The 809th soldiers will leave for Fort Riley on December 18th. They're expected to be overseas for 18 months.
