There's a new development in the case of a Sudanese boy who was reported missing Friday in Lincoln.
It's a follow-up to the story we first reported Friday.
Lincoln police have now issued a citation to the mother of 9-year old Giel Riak.
She told police she allowed him to play basketball at Pentzer park after 11 Thursday night.
When the 9-year old didn't return home, she called authorities, triggering a 9-hour search for the boy.
He was found around noon Friday after spending the night at the home of a friend.
Giel's mother, 37-year-old Angelina Giar, a single mother of 7, was given a citation for misdemeanor child neglect, and is due to appear in court in July.
