Motorist Assistant Hurt In Accident
A volunteer who normally helps stranded motorists found himself to be in need of help Tuesday. Motorist Assistant volunteer Phil Bohl's van was reduced to a crumpled shell after a morning accident along Interstate 80. Surprisingly, he suffered only a minor back injury. The Motorist Assistants help lighten the load of State Troopers by helping change flat tires, and jump starting cars.
Bohl was treated and released from a Seward hospital. He tells Channel 8 he's recovering at home and appreciates all the support that has come his way. As for the driver of the car that hit Bohl, he was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
