Lincoln Police were busy this weekend and it all began Friday night.

It happened on Cornhusker Highway between 70th and Fletcher.

Police say Philip Miller, 80, of Wahoo crossed the center line and struck two oncoming vehicles.

Miller was pronounced dead at the scene.  Officers aren’t sure what caused the accident.

The other drivers were transported with non life threatening injuries.

The second fatality was a car versus pedestrian accident.

It happened Saturday morning on O Street. Police say Douglas Embree, 60, was crossing the street when he was struck by a car.

He was transported to the hospital where he later died.

And the third fatality involved two semi trucks.

This one happened Sunday near the 56th street exit on the Interstate.

A semi was stopped of on the shoulder when another semi struck the right rear of the trailer, says Lincoln Police.

The driver of that first semi was ejected and dragged by his coat.

We know he’s a 30 year old Illinois man.  His family has yet to be notified.

Officers are still investigating the details on all these fatalities.

No citations have been issued in any of the accidents.
